Local Farms and Food in East Jefferson County

Local Farms, Foods, Cideries

Chickens in the yardPicking BerrysWe are blessed with the many small farms that support and raise locally grown food in East Jefferson County. While taking advantage of our region's temperate climate and long growing season, we have a plethora of farms, cideries and wine makers in Quilcene/Brinnon, Chimacum, Port Hadlock and Port Townsend, WA.

Jefferson County has a rich agricultural heritage that is now seeing a surge of energy and vitality from farmers across our fertile valleys.  More than a dozen family farms are in operation producing a range of goods and produce from diverse vegetables, to fruit crops like berries and apples, to egg and poultry production, to goat cheese, to cow dairies and pasture-fed beef.

You can taste what grows in Jefferson County at our dynamic Farmers Markets (Port Townsend, Chimacum & Port Ludlow) or at several on-farm stands.  You can also drink the bounty of Jefferson County by visiting the Tasting Rooms of our many local wineries or cideries. The Chimacum Corner store at Center and Highway 19 offers a wide range of goods grown or made right here.
